On the 29th of January 2013, Jayden Moorea (then widely known as Dan Shearin) witnessed his partner; NRL cheerleader Breeana Robinson take her own life.

Despite how horrific this event in itself was for him, it paled in significance to what was to follow.

Abused, threatened, stalked and harassed by Breeana’s unhinged aunt, then defamed and mis-reported by the media, this led to glaring incompetence by the Queensland Coroner’s department and eventually Jayden was charged with Breeana’s murder. This largely came about after police falsified evidence and committed perjury by misleading 3 separate bio-mechanics experts. Subsequently, Jayden had all charges against him dropped 7 years later.

Throughout all of this, Jayden was determined to act with dignity and resolved to honour Breeana’s legacy; rather than turn it into a shitshow – as was the case with her family and the media.  

Through all of the pain and challenges Jayden faced, came a song of hope for anyone struggling with loss or mental illness.
