At 52, cracking the music industry by pumping out pop/rock hits isn’t something most composers dream of doing, but truth be told, Jayden Moorea (formerly known as Dan Shearin) has been writing songs, movies and books for more than 30 years.

His career started as Australia’s most sort after rapper in the earlier 90’s. This saw him perform as support act for Vanilla Ice, Snap, and Two in a Room when he was only 18, then go on to work as a session rapper for several artists. 

As a professional dancer, he then transformed himself into a world-class singer under the guidance of legendary voice-craft teacher Ann Sparks. This saw him go on to perform in shows such as Grease, Westside Story. D’boyZ (The Australian Backstreet Boys), and hello Dolly, before starring in over 35 Broadway style shows on cruise ships. 

While singing was a love of Jayden’s, creating stories was his true passion, however, as it does, life got in the way and it wasn’t until tragedy struck his life in his late 30’s that Moorea took a more serious approach to sharing his passion with the world.
