Have you ever wondered what would happen if all of the musicians in the world (both dead and alive) came together in one place for a party? As a 14-year-old, I did, and now you too can imagine what it would be like.
The Ultimate Musician’s party was my first project into creative writing as a 14-year-old, but until now there have been very few people who have seen this book. It was first written as an English project in grade 9, so until recently, it has sat idle in a box.
After decades in the before-mentioned box, I pulled it out, added some more modern names, and gave it a newer look.
The idea for the book came about when I was looking through my older brother’s record collection and thought, “Don’t artists and bands have interesting names.” The book is a simple concept that uses several hundred artists’ names to tell the story.
I thought that I would finally share this story as my tribute to some of the greatest artists (And some not so great), that have graced the airwaves around the world over the last 60+ years.
The beauty of this book is that while I was the writer, the creator of the story was in fact the artist’s names, that are contained inside the story itself. The names guided the story so even as a 14 years old I had no control over how the story turned out.
How else would a 14-year-old come up with something so R-Rated?
